The tool exports at the decoded video's display size. It does not upscale the source, add player controls, or improve detail that was not present in the encoded frame.

Media decoding and image encoding happen in the browser. If you request a ZIP, the page may load the fixed fflate library from jsDelivr, but the library receives no video bytes, names, metadata, or output images.

What to know before extracting frames.

Is the video uploaded?

No. The selected file is read by browser media APIs on your device. MingLabs and the optional ZIP library never receive the video, its name, metadata, or extracted images.

Is this better than taking a screen screenshot?

A normal screen screenshot is limited by the displayed player size and may include controls. This tool exports the decoded frame at the video's display dimensions and applies its stored rotation.

Can I extract one frame every few seconds?

Yes. Choose batch extraction and enter an interval in seconds, or request a fixed number of frames spread evenly across the whole video.

Are frame times exact?

The tool returns the decoded frame displayed at the requested time and shows that frame's actual timestamp. Variable-frame-rate video does not necessarily have a frame at every mathematically expected interval.

Should I use PNG, JPG, or WebP?

PNG is lossless but often large. JPG is the practical default for photos and batches. WebP can be smaller while keeping good quality in current browsers.

Why will some MP4, MOV, or MKV files not open?

A file extension describes its container, not its video codec. The browser must also support the codec inside that container.
